Another one of the common medical school admission requirements is volunteer time or work experience in the field of medicine. Students are encouraged to spend time in the community as volunteers in health related volunteer positions. Even though in medical school students will complete a minimum of three years of residency under a licensed physician, undergraduates are still encouraged to participate in volunteering in the community in medical field related services. These medical professionals will give you practical advice, and will help strengthen the skills you ve received in the classroom.
